Palin Will Pay

Sarah Palin, who was recently found guilty of violating Alaska state ethics laws, thinks Barack Obama should “apologize” for the alleged misdeeds of ACORN. Along with running Nuremberg-like rallies and screeching incoherently about “terrorists” Palin is evidently now an expert on voter registration laws in all 50 states. Pretty impressive for someone who graduated with a BA from a third-rate university after transferring six times in six years to even achieve that.

Palin is having a grand old time right now. She gets to tour the lower-48 where she stands, Christ-like, before the adoring crowds with her arms held aloft, seemingly transfixed by their chants and screams of “off with his head” and “kill him.” I’m sure that, in her own mind at least, she resembles a female messiah-like figure come to deliver the po’ Republicans from what is looking more and more like an overwhelmingly crushing victory at the hands of Obama and the Democratic party.

But she’s going to find the next two years after this election to be a much different experience than her two years before. We’re going to target Palin for defeat in Alaska - we’re going to pay her back for her lies and demagoguery by pouring money into the coffers of whichever Democrat opposes her and we’re going to destroy her. Palin has earned the deep enmity of every Democrat and many non-Democrats as well. She should enjoy her time in the sun now because in two years, when she’s shit-canned from Alaskan government and sitting in the never-ending darkness that composes an Alaskan winter, the dreams of her time in the sun will be all she has left.

5. If she tries to "fight the oil companies" too hard as she CLAIMS to do now, the GOP will ditch her
... too!

Of course we know that's all a smokescreen. But smokescreen or no, Exxon probably doesn't like feeling that heat anyway.

Methinks she's gone shortly, if not by election, perhaps by impeachment for the Troopergates!

6. Hell yes
She'll lose this election and can go back to Alaska where I hope she runs for Gov. again and gets defeated. It would be pure poetry to see her try for Mayor of Wasilla again and get defeated but I suppose that's wishing for too much. I also think all the talk about her running for President in 2012 is absolute bullshit. Her career on the national stage ends in a few weeks.

8. She has burned a LOT of bridges back home
I would even be willing to send $$$ to a REPUBLICAN to challenge her in a primary race.

Wondering: if Ted Stevens is re-elected and is subsequently found guilty in his ongoing trial, can she name herself to take his place?

10. Gov. Palin needs to be Impeached, now!!!

At the very least, Alaskans need to mount a Recall Petition & toss her out. She is corrupt & inept. She is unfit to be Gov., much less VP or possibly Pres. of the USA..

17. Palin can't name Stevens's replacement
Wondering: if Ted Stevens is re-elected and is subsequently found guilty in his ongoing trial, can she name herself to take his place?

No. In 49 states, the governor makes an appointment to fill a U.S. Senate vacancy. In Alaska, however, Gov. Frank Murkowski's appointment of his daughter to replace himself caused so much disgust that the Governor's power was revoked. I think the seat remains vacant until a special election can be held.

By the way, you're assuming Stevens would resign or otherwise be removed from office if found guilty. I don't know if that's an airtight assumption. Let's hope that Begich holds onto his current slim lead and renders the question moot.

9. The guy in the bar who wished she wasn't married---will he wake up?
It was sickening to see the support she got in that bar after the debate. I asked myself, "Who are these people?"

13. As a guy, I'll take Bartcop's view
That Palin could probably make a mean Chicken Salad Sandwich, but if that was all she did, then that would be OK.

11. IMO, we start by investigating just HOW the First Dude and a few pals built that huge red house.
There is NO way that house was some weekend project for Tawwwwwwwwd and a bunch of his drunken snow machine pals.

14. Just let us know whom to donate to. We will turn the Obama money spigot on for her opponent.
She will regret forever her few weeks in the sun in the lower 48.

15. I cannot wait for this election to end with Obama claiming the win
I cannot wait for this to end to she gets what she deserves and I hope it is harsh, and swift, and very very public. She is an evil woman....worse then Anne Coulter.

16. Sweet
those are sentiments I share - and that's a damn good idea to donate to her future Democratic opponent for Governor. Hopefully though, she'll be run out of office LONG before her term is up.
