Buchanan will vote for Bush to insure 4 more Scalias |
|
Just read Pat Buchanan's book "Where the Right Went Wrong". He doesn't spare any criticisms on Bush or his administration.
Buchanan talks about Bush's failures in Iraq because of the neo-conservative take over and the neocon dream of Imperialism. He goes on to point out that Bush doesn't understand the religious or political issues of the region.
He states that "By 2004, the last Clinton surplus of $236 billion had disappeared into a projected $521 billion deficit, and Bush had not vetoed a single bill." "From 2002 to 2004, Bush added $1.3 trillion to the national dept."
He goes on about how the Republican Party under Bush's reign has become the party of BIG GOVERNMENT.
Buchanan covers much more of what we know about and read here at DU.
Try as I might I can not figure out Pat Buchanan. He is all over the board. On talk shows he defends the right and trashes Kerry but in his book he throughly points out that everything Bush has done has been a total failure for the Republican Party and for our country.
After finishing his book I would conclude that he couldn't possibly support Bush. But then Friday during an interview with a local talk show host from Seattle on KIRO radio he is talking about his book. At the end of the interview the host then makes the statement that he suspects Buchanan will be picking Bush over Kerry because he is the less of 2 evils. Buchanan's response was that he didn't consider either candidate evil but he would be voting for Bush because "with Bush in office there would be a chance to get 4 more 'Antonin Scalias' appointed to the Supreme Court".

would never allow 4 more Scalias. They would filibuster till the Administration put up a more moderate nominee.

people - especially Thomas.
Rehnquist still sits on the SC some 30 years after Nixon resigned in disgrace.
That's what this election is really about.

is no Ralph Nader. He knows that being a spoiler makes no sense. He may criticize Bush but he has made it certain that he supports him.
Nader on the other hand only cares about himself.

7. please don't spend too much time "figuring out" Buchanan |
|
his anti-Bush stance is 100% fraudulent.
Same goes for Kevin Phillips. Both are long-time operatives dating back to the Nixon years, attacking and manipulating the media.

9. Pat Buchanan was in the Oval office with Nixon, Liddy, and John O'Neil |
|
when they conspired to destroy Kerry in 1971. He despises John Kerry. Let's not be mistaken about Mr Buchanan.
