Listening to "Dreams from my father" audiobook |
|
Maybe it's just because I'm young and I didn't live through these times he discusses, but...Forget politics, Barack Obama is just a really interesting guy. His narration isn't boring at all. He does different voices when recalling conversations. Love it.
As for why the audio book? Because my eyes tire quickly and I can't read a book in 7 hours (the length of time to listen), and I like hearing him tell it.

1. i tried to listen to it... and i'll be honest |
|
i got turned off after a few minutes, because it was like... every sentence... every reflection... was some deep, profound thing.
i hate memoirs like that... where eating breakfast as a 5 year old turns into some incredibly historic, reflective moment in the great hegelian march to global and eventually solar system-wide revelation.

2. He's a showman, no doubt about that. |

Perhaps you'll be able to get through the book in the future.
