I don't understand
why McCain is so opposed to "spreading the wealth." Or do I not understand what he means?

9. and that's what drives me crazy about republicans... I would
gladly pay a few dollars more in taxes if it meant

lower grocery bills, lower gas prices, lower health care costs, higher paying jobs

to just focus on taxes like it's the only financial aspect to the American people is strange

11. Customers wtf screw the customers, Joe plumber don't
need customers, he just needs a business and the wealth will come flowing in on the back of corporate welfare. Many business people see it that way today it's so freaking unbelieveable, they run small businesses and somehow they could care less about the customer. Hell one such business person posted in another forum that the business did work for a home owner who couldn't afford the home yet the homeowner was able to pay the business. The reasoning for this crap? The home owner had a car in the drive way 5 years old instead of a brand new car that fit in with the neighborhood and the house. So in the business persons mind can't afford a new car = can't afford the home.

4. That's a classic play to the base line for Republicons
They want all their money all the time.
They want your money to become their "profits" all the time. They also want your money when they ruin the economy and need a $700 billion "rescue."

Oh! The pain of having to accept a "rescue!" Horrible! Horrid Day! The stress of being bailed out sent AIG execs to a spa for recovery.

6. "Spreading the wealth"
Means Socialism for lazy people who don't work. It riles up the base who are convinced there's still a legitimate Communist threat to this country (trust me, I had an argument with some righties last night over it).

10. Spreading the Wealth?
Socialism for the lazy? I have news for you, I have worked since I was 15 years old, (I am now 55) recently I lost my job through NO FAULT OF MY OWN, I am a college grad and the only work I can find is a cashiers job at a McDonald's. I have managed people for over 10 years and there are not any jobs out there. I have sent out resumes to the tune of well over 200 and not a response except " thanks for your interest, we will call you" it is not laziness its lack of jobs.

8. The RW derisively calls it 'Class Warfare'
Wealth redistribution happens in a capitalist society .... In fact: The right wing had initiated wealth distribution AGAINST middle class and poor citizens from the moment a money system was instituted here.

There has been a more intensive MASS redistribution of wealth FROM citizens TO the rich over this last decade, thanks to the republicans ... But they dont have a problem with the rich sucking the poor dry ....

The bottom line is this: EVERYBODY needs to have a place at the table if the wealthy want to enjoy the fruits of capitalism .... They cannot generate wealth from a populace unable to purchase goods ... They MUST agree to increase pay to ordinary americans in order to keep the whole process from unwinding ...

We make financial transactions every day ... Wealth is pushed every which direction .... Class war has been in place for a very long time .... RICH against the poor ....

13. It was that way before the new deal, then FDR came along and gave the average guy a chance at living
a decent honest life. 5 seconds after the new deal was signed into law with all the regulations and safety nets for the working stiff the republicons started attacking it as socialism trying to steal the rich mans wealth from him. Every since then republicons have been chipping away at parts of the new deal and look where we are today, fore-closers, unemployment, out sourced manufacturing, homeless, we are living the same way we lived before the new deal. So the Republicans did as they promised they took the country back in time to the good old days.
