Why are people here so concerned about Joe the Plumber?
Am I missing something? Obama won the debate last night handly, and outside of Joe the Plumber being mentioned a lot in the debate, the guy is extremely irrelevant.

By the way, I might quit my software engineer career to become a plumber. Shit, I wouldn't mind paying a little more taxes if I am going to bring in that much cash. :-)

1. I agree. Joe is nothing more than a media talking point. His 15-minutes are almost up
and besides he is destroying his credibility with this press conference. It's clear he was always in McCain's hip pocket.

4. You've got that right. This tool was never going to vote for Obama, period
He was just looking for his 15 minutes and a "gotcha" moment by asking Obama the question. Obama did awesome in his response.

2. The NPR Whores can't put a sentence together without "Joe the Plumber" in it, and they are trying to
spin it in favor of the Right Wing to make people think polling is closer than it is.

3. Exactly the point
"I wouldn't mind paying a little more taxes if I am going to bring in that much cash."

Republicans are incredibly dumb if they think most people don't understand this.

5. Joe the Plumber is nothing but the latest attraction in the media circus.
He'll be in the center ring for a couple of days until the novelty wears off then he'll be assigned to clean out the elephant pens.
