John McSame DID land a knockout punch last night,...
Edited on Thu Oct-16-08 09:46 AM by MarianJack
...unfortunately for him, it was on himself.

Can any of you remember abortion being mentioned at all before his running mate brought it up last week after they learned that Rev. Wright & Bill Ayers weren't working?

Last night, he channeled his pathetic excuse for a running mate, revived the cultural wars that the public no longer wants, and showed his contempt for the women he seeks to govern by kissing the collective ass of his vice presidential choice's base. This was a callousness that his handlers NEVER intended us to see. It was exactly the disdain for the public that he and Mr. bush showed as they ate birthday cake when thousands of Americans of the wrong color (for them) were trapped in the Superdome.

Previous to last night, I expected that Obama/Biden would have a 6-8% popular vote margin and about 325 electoral votes.

Today, I want to see McSane/Palin(comparison) lose VERY BADLY! I had thought that the republicans as a party deserved to be landslided out of power. With his snarky cynicism towards the health of American women that reflects his running mate's extremism, I have now modified that view. This republican ticket has earned a landslide loss all on their own. I hope that they get it and take MANY of their party with them.

The women of America, and the men who love and respect them, deserve to see that happen.

PEACE!

2. On first read, I thought you said "Autogal".
I was wondering if that was Bristol Palin's nickname, since that was likely where her child was conceived.

I'm a little emabarrassed that I said this. I know that the kids are off limits.

3. it was the one moment
when McCain snarkily stated that the health of the mother could mean anything....that I got angry. Husband and son came into the living room to see what I was upset about, as I loudly stated, "Now THAT riles me up! Who the hell does he think he is? "

This was in reference to Obama voting against partial birth abortions - and Obama stated he could not support the law because there was nothing that would preclude the law if the health of the mother was endangered.

17. That was the jaw dropping moment for me in last night's debate. The fact
that he could be so dismissive of a woman's health and would reveal it during a debate was a real shocker for me. Only the most dedicated of "pro-life" women could have listened to his remarks without feeling a negative response, IMO.

4. I'd love to see that.
John McCain suddenly bursts a vessel somewhere, and starts pummeling himself. The first blow to the face knocks him out of his chair. When he falls to the floor, he continues to beat himself about the face and head. The whole time he's muttering "My friends... my friends..."

Damn, I hate john McCain...

When your opponent is beating himself, just get out of the way!

13. The example that comes to mind...
John says, "If you wanted to run against Bush you should have run 4 years ago."

Obama says, "If I occasionally mistake your policies for President Bush's it's because they are exactly alike!"

THAT was the classic punch an opponent with his own fists moment.

12. confusing Autism with Down syndrome
A big mistake with families that have disabled kids won't take too lightly. It shows his lack of respect, concern and interest for that segment of the population.
