I've had a couple phone conversations in the past twenty four hours, and have been asked to remind people of an important fact: independent studies have shown that 78% of voters who identify themselves as "undecided" at this point say that they rely upon campaign commercials on television to help them determine which presidential candidate they will vote for.
If possible, please make a last contribution to the Obama campaign. Because of the late date, if you do not have a credit card, and instead contribute by check, it is important to get it in the mail within the next 24 hours.
The republican machine is attempting to discourage democrats from making another contribution, by saying Obama already has so much money, that he is far outspending McCain in advertising. In fact, the Obama campaign is outspending McCain, but it is important to make sure that the democratic ticket can finish strong in key states. Contributions to Obama will help to influence those undecided voters who are also needed to insure other democratic victories.
Finally, as other people have noted on this forum, now is not the time to become satisfied with where we are at, and to stay busy. Volunteer at the local campaign headquarters. Make the phones calls, and send letters-to-the-editor.
Pretty soon, we'll be discussing our plans for our November victory parties.

4. Actually, the ad that has gotten the most positive response to |
|
date is the one being run by Defenders of Wildlife. Seems Dems, Indies, and Repubs are all equally horrified by the wolf slaughter going on in Alaska. DoW still needs donations to get the ad on air in some of the toss up states, so if you have any extra, please send a donation to them.

6. I know two couples who were undecided & the DOW ad turned them. |
|
You were right - horrified is exactly what they were when they saw this ad. Tina Fey on SNL was just the icing on the cake. To everyone: You can specifically request your DOW donation go to the ad campaign. http://www.defendersactionfund.org/
