Today I voted for McCain.
Just kidding I voted all Dem.;-)

We just got back and my legs are killing me. We got there at ten their were so many people they were everywhere. So me and my mom were standing in line and every ten steps someone came by and gave us fliers for their candidate I ended up with 7. After waiting for an hour we were in the courthouse and waited another hour (so many people). I finally voted and got my sticker and asked my mom who she voted for and she told me Obama  . Just about everyone around us was voting for Obama. It was fun but I am so glad it is over.

3. WooHoo! NC is up and at it today!
I voted at 8:30 and already had 25 people in front of me. Everyone I saw was for Obama. They were talking about it, even wearing hats and shirts.

9. What??? I thought it was the 20th! Is it state-wide or county by county?
I'm going to go look at my official Obama info.

10. Go to this website:
www.voteforchange.com

It's an Obama site. It will tell you where/when Early Voting is. It is state wide, hours vary.

Get out there and vote!:P

12. I'm waiting for it to load now. I'm dismayed because I can't find the literature
Edited on Thu Oct-16-08 01:27 PM by gateley
they left at my door, naming the people I should vote for.

I know where the location is, and that's no problem -- just thought it didn't begin until the 20th.

EDIT -- the damn page never loaded after I submitted, but ccharles sent me another link. My polling place won't have Early Voting until the 21st. Damn. I was so excited there for a minute. So glad you got the chance today!

17. In Caifornia, if hats or t-shirts are campaign related
hats cone off, shirts get turned inside out - NO campaign anything w/i 100 feet of polling place.

4. Wonderful!
I was surprised you could have campaign literature around the voting area. I don't think we can wear or carry anything of campaign significance beyond a certain point.

Glad to hear it was busy. That means less busy on Election Day!

They could not hand campaign literature out when you entered the courthouse.

5. Cool! I was going to ask about your mom's vote because of your
earlier post regarding your abortion 'discussion'. Good for her - not a one issue voter and she sees the big picture!

Was today the FIRST day of Early Voting in your area?

14. Thank you
For voting a straight Dem ticket. We need to pack Congress with Democrats if we want Obama's plans to become reality.

(BTW, I love your avatar of Louise Brooks. She is a favorite of mine. I first discovered her at the Castro Theater in S.F. many years ago. Introduced to her by my silent-movie loving girlfriend.)
