Obama playing cards...surprise within

My wife met Michele O the other day, and my kid got a deck of Obama playing cards.

Within were cards with Obama supporters of various stripes. Among them was a Colin Powell card. Cat out of the bag?

They both got to shake Barack's hand last week, though.

My thinking is that the campaign will only pull out Powell if things are looking uglier. IF they're as brilliant as they have been, they pull that one out of the hat. I don't think Powell would come out unless it was absolutely necessary because some like him and some don't respect him.

But then I realized that after reading the first 3 names that the spades suit wasn't going to be all Black people.

Sounds horrible, I know, but here's my defense.

I'm a magician on the side, and I'll practice new tricks on my friends, and a few years ago, one of them was a trick where cards of one suit become cards of a different suit, and my patter that I was making up on the spot for the switch was, "But I don't much like working with spades; I prefer hearts." The friend I tried that on was Black. We both just stared at each other for a second before bursting out laughing, but it was still embarrassing.
