For the suggestion box: Ross Perot-style Charts and Graphs!!
Since it seems like brainstorming time (for what it's worth), or "make suggestions to the Kerry campaign" time, here's what I'd love to see: an ad with graphs on the economy, complete with sound effects (ascending/ descending whistles, perhaps).

- The growth of budget surpluses in the 90s, and Bush's erasing them and descending into deficits.
- The first paydown on the national debt, and Bush's sending them through the roof, literally raising the ceiling.
- The lowered unemployment rate, and Bush raising it up, again changing the rules of who's counted.
- The decrease of the tax burden *relative to income* for the middle class as a percentage under Clinton, and the rise of the burden under Bush.

Maybe others -- the cost of gas, the cost of health care, the number of people uninsured, etc...

Graphs provide a clear *visual* and that helps alot of people grasp it, and the facts are devastatingly clear. I'd love to see Paul Krugman on board in creating an ad like that!

What do you think?
