Kucinich Shows Pie Chart on Radio Debate

By Associated Press

As Kucinich challenged Democratic front-runner Howard Dean for refusing to acknowledge that the Pentagon budget needs to be cut, debate moderator Neal Conan of NPR interrupted.

"Congressman Kucinich is holding up a pie chart, which is not truly effective on radio," Conan told his listeners.

Kucinich was not deterred.

"Well, it's effective if Howard can see it," he replied.

I think Kucinich likes Dean! He's trying to guide him...that's adorable! Oh Dennis, you crack me up and I like you more and more every day.

5. Cheap suit?
Isn't that the kind of fudiciary sensability we require? Why wear an expensive suit to a radio debate, that'd be just silly. Hell, that'd make as much sense as wearing a full dress uniform to a radio debate.

10. I am sure that all of Clark's Military Corporatist Complex bucks
buy him much nicer suits than Dean can afford. But of course I am a democrat and not a wealthy one, so I happen to prefer Dean's suits.
Thanks for playing!

9. I have a cable modem
but take pity on the dial up folks. Your cut and paste graphics are too big.

4. That's Adorable!
And that's what you can expect with a transformational kinesiologist running a campaign.

11. I don't know
if he likes Dean or not but I do find he is clever and witty and often seems quite playful (silly as that might seem in this political climate). It did not seem to bring about any tension and it did make his point nicely. To me it was typical Kucinich, I don't think it was meant to guide Dean but to show the differences between them. We can talk about guiding when we have a nominee.

12. Kucinich likes Dean
I have no doubt of that.

Consider: if Dean realizes that it's possible to get our troops out of Iraq swiftly, and if Dean announces this realization, then suddenly Kucinich's "impossible" plan will get seen as difficult but possible.

Which is what it is.

13. The earnestness of Kucinich gets to me every time.
Whether he is electable or not, I admire anyone who goes at it from the heart. And there a quite a few of them in this primary.
