**ACTION ALERT** VISCIOUS LYING MCCAIN/RNC ROBO CALLS GOING VIRAL ALL OVER THE NATION ! FIGHT BACK!

Hi DUers, sorry if this has already been reported. If not, here's the deal. I got home tonight and there was ROTTEN LYING REPUKE robo call of the worst kind on my answering machine. I know it's real as they are being reported on Huffington nationally. It's the RNC/MCCAIN scumbags with the worst, most despicable robo call I have ever heard. It says that Obama had "close ties" to Ayres who "bombed and killed people" and that "Obama and his leftist Democratic allies can't be trusted with the government". It is NOT a hoax, and it is absolutely despicable when that old bastard stands there and says he is running a "positive campaign." I called and left a message lambasting the Maine R-Party exective director, and I called my local Dem headquarters. They are having a press conference on this here tomorrow. (Palin was just in Bangor, Maine today.) I URGE DEMS NATIONALLY TO PRESS THE DNC, THE OBAMA CAMP, AND THEIR STATE AND LOCAL OBAMA PEOPLE AND DEM PARTY PEOPLE TO RESPOND VIGOROUSLY TO THIS LATEST MOST HORRENDOUS AND DESPICABLE LINE OF ATTACK. CALL YOUR LOCAL NEWSPAPER AND BROADCAST MEDIA OUTLETS AS WELL AND TELL THEM HOW AWFUL THIS IS. WE MUST FIGHT BACK HARD AND FAST, THEN COUNTERPUNCH EVEN HARDER. THE REPUKES, TYPICALLY, ARE STOPPING AT NOTHING, ESPECIALLY IN THE SWING STATES, TO CLOSE THE GAP BEFORE ELECTION DAY. WE KNEW IT WAS COMING. IT'S GOING TO HAPPEN FOR THE NEXT TWO AND A HALF WEEKS. AND THEY COULD JUST TIP THE BALANCE IN THE CLOSE STATES. HERE THEY ARE TRYING TO WIN OUR 2ND DISTRICT AND GET ANOTHER ELECTORAL VOTE AS WE SPLIT OURS HERE (LIKE NEBRASKA). 8. I already lest the message on local news outlet answering machines, and I called the local Dem

coordinated campaign office (joint Obama/Maine Dems), and they immediately told me they knew all about it, the guy I spoke to said he had heard it, and that they were having a press conference on it tomorrow. They asked if I could be at the press conference, but I can't due to work. I also called my local town committee Dem chair and former chair (a father and son), and played them the message which I do still have on my answering machine. I recommended to the campaign office that they call my two local committee friends and ask if one or both could do the press conference. There needs to be letters to the editor and a vigorous COUNTER PUNCH approach. The DNC and national OBAMA camp need to HIT BACK VERY HARD ON THIS SHIT !!

I called the number and the mailboxes are full or you get stuck in phone hell.

I was going to call and say I was swaying towards McCain but the call made me decide for Obama. I would suggest everyone else do the same.

I don't get them but I want to complain.

My biggest hugest problem with these damn things is that they've already hit the wire, like closing the barn door after the horse escaped. Any damage done can not be undone and the seed has been sowed.

What Mccain and the RNC is doing seems like straight out slander to me. No truth to any of it and if it were you or I doing the slandering, we'd be getting served a lawsuit and sitting our asses in court trying to defend ourselves.

I wish it were possible to do exactly that to Mccain and the RNC. Sue them for slander.

27. Got a positive robocall from the McCain campaign tonight

A very nice man left a message to encourage me to vote for McCain, Norm Coleman and some Jake guy. And everything in it was positive about why I should vote for them. It was all cliche BS about them putting country first but it was positive. It did not mention anything about Obama or Franken.

I think that this is probably Coleman's influence because Minnesotans are suckers for "nice" and he got caught lying big time in an ad against Franken. I've never gotten a call from a Republican before and I think it's seemed kind of desperate to call a life-long registered Democrat, but it shows they know they're in trouble.

On the other hand, I get calls from Franken's campaign all of the time and from Obama's campaign once a month or so.
