...night, when my husband and I were there with our two children.

I expressed the same outrage and desire to change these people.

My husband's response, although hard to hear, was probably the truth. There's no changing
these people. Seriously.

The guy we met had only a high school education and he worked in a repair shop with four other people
who listen to right-wing radio all day long.

This man at McDonald's said Obama was a terrorist. I actually made some inroads with him. Ultimately, though--
if someone is that ignorant, and so far gone--there is really nothing that can be done.

When I said to him, "Obama is a terrorist? You actually believe that he's the type of person who will
strap a bomb to himself and blow up an Applebee's? That's really what you think?" he backed off a bit.

Limbaugh makes these types feel wise and in-the-know. As long as their wisdom is packed in their heads,
they can walk around feeling superior. These types don't want to give up that.

Reagan tried to stop the spread of capitalism to the Soviet Union (apparently having forgot why we were fighting the Soviet Union).


Yet, Truman, JFK, LBJ and Carter are "commies" while Nixon, Ford and Reagan are the brave defenders of freedom!
