I don't give a F8CK if the GOPers "call the elction into question" after Obama wins |
|
I don't give a F$CK about an electoral tally that would spell a "mandate."
Bush taught us well: 271 is the KEY. Once you're in, they can yell "fraud" and "no mandate" as much as they goddamn please: the office is the key.
Do I like it? No. But I'll be damned if I worry about GOPers yelling and squealing about ACORN AFTER Obama wins. Winning is the thing. Everything else is bullshit. Hands on the levers.
And keep your motherfucking eyes on the prize.

2. When it comes down to it, whoever wins has a mandate to be president. Period. |
|
And after the garbage that was pulled in 2000 and 2004, I'll be more than happy to throw the "sour grapes" phrase right back at them like they did to us during those 2 elections.

but you're right. I don't think any media outlet, except maybe Fox "News", will take their squawking seriously when they so casually ignored us in 2000 and 2004.

We hold a majority in the majority of state delegations to the House. And a majority of Senators. So we win a tie.

13. I don't want to win that way. |
|
I just don't. It wouldn't feel right. And no one here can tell me they wouldn't feel the slightest bit of illegitimacy surrounding Obama's first term.

if they manage to get the election result before the highly partisan Supreme Court!
We need more than 270 EV to be truly assured that Obama is allowed to take office. If it comes down to one state, they may be able to mount a 'challenge'.

8. This is exactly what I keep saying about it. I have had to actually |
|
oversee an election. One thing is very clear about elections: there are always challenges and problems. But that doesn't keep the election from going forward. You put the questionable votes in a separate pile. If the margin of the win is greater than the problem ballots, then there is no issue. And according to our Supreme Court in 2000, after Obama is declared the winner, it would be detrimental to actually count the votes, so...
Just like the OP says, I don't give a crap about arguing about it after the fact. Let 'em weep and wail.

10. It would be difficult, |
|
if not impossible, to come up with a less significant thing to "worry" about. Those who are having anxiety attacks, with wringing of hands and gnashing of teeth, because a scattering of brain-dead republicans will not accept Obama as President, come dangerously close to contesting the republican's being out of touch with reality.
