21. yup and Brian Kilmeade is like a dumber Steve Doocy, i didn't think it was possible
but it is.

My Fox and friends story--About 5 years ago i had some major dental work done and i was on pain meds, so around 5:00am i'm flipping round the dial and i land on that show, i thought it was like a satire, you know like The Larry Sanders show? Anyhow, imagine my shock and horror when i found out a few weeks later that it was an actual morning show.

7. Ed simply asked the rw douchebag to not interrupt him
But he kept on interrupting him and Ed couldn't finish a sentence so he walked off. Then the Fox assholes spent about 3 minutes making fun of him.

6. i suggest this strategy be followed by every liberal
3 vs. 1 is BS unless you let. people. finish. their. sentences.

interruption of liberals is FoxNews preferred tactic. once obama's in, BOYCOTT them & restore the fairness doctrine.

8. Go Ed !! The right winger who had just spoken was talking all over Ed's reply
not allowing Ed to get a word in edgewise so Ed walked out.

Glad to see it.

They were lying and Ed pointed out that the Plumbers' Union had endorsed Obama, and that he would not tax gross profits over $250K, so since Ed was making too much sense,

the right winger had to jump in and try to squash Ed's comment. Ed asked him to stop and let him finish and the guy did not. This has happened before with the same guy, so Ed just got up and left.

Then the 3 right wingers left in the studio, the two anchors and one guest, were just baffled that Ed was so sensitive. Golly gee, we just don't know why he did that.

12. God I hate that argument
Let's say you have gone over the magical $250,000 mark and are now pulling in $300,000. As you make more money, you will have to spend 3% more in takes under the Obama plan.

So if you realize you can work a little harder or open another branch (or whatever) and pull in $400,000, you will have to pay $3,000 more in takes on that next $100,000.

Who in the world would say "It's not worth it to me to make that other $100,000, because I have to give $3,000 more of it back".

Now in the days when it was 70%, I can understand that it was way too high and people would feel like there was no point.

Ed Schultz is the most effective of all the progressive talk show hosts when it comes to reaching beyond the base.

It is a shame that the corporate media won't put him on more stations.

29. Actually, I wish he had stuck it out
Walking out just gives them power - staying and fighting does not. While I understand his frustration, it was not the best tactical move...plus, I love a good fight, and as one of my heroes, Vernon Johns said, "When you see a good fight, get in it." Fighting the propaganda at Fox is always a good fight, IMHO.

36. You know, I kinda wish he had stuck it out too
for the reasons you note. That said, it is so painful to even watch the idiots on Fox constantly interrupt and shout over their "guests" that differ with their ideological view that I cannot even imagine how hard it is to try to make a coherent point over that crap. What I really wish more dems and others on the left would do when interrupted by blathering right-wingnuts is to stop and say "you know, your bad manners are one thing, but can't you even muster the COURAGE to allow me to make my point - or are you that AFRAID of me and my arguments?"

33. Right wingers are usually the ones interrupting on these talk shows
It isn't just Fucks News, it's CNN and MSNBC, too. Their tactic seems to be to make their point and then interrupt the other guy and not let him/her get their own points in.

I wish Democrats would bring large postercards and hold them up to the camera like Bugs Bunny does to Elmer Fudd, with, for example, a baseball with a screw through it and an arrow pointing at the nutter.

Democrats should just boycott that damn station.

If Fox news cannot get one Dem Senator, Congressman or anyone else they would cease to exist and more importantly show who they are.

Just don't show up there, its as easy as that.

35. Go Ed! FAUX wouldn't shut that guy up so you could talk
All the Obama plan does is not have the wealth so concentrated in the top 1%. It won't cause any pain. Who could really argue with his plan unless they are greedy?

I'd take it even further: income over a million gets taxed at 50% and over 10 million at 75%.

45. He should have first said: "I will walk off if you keep interupting me"
And then proceeded to walk off after being interuppted after that.

I like Big ED, but in this case, if the viewer blinked, they have no idea why he even walked off.

I agree that DEMS should just not go on at all if they are not totally prepared to argue with 3 right-wingers at once.

47. But...
I disagree. Big Ed called him on his rudeness, essentially challenging him to shut his trap up and he couldn't. Ed knew and it was obvious how the rest of the interview would have went, so he pulled out. At least, it was obvious to intelligent viewers. Viewers of Fox? Maybe not, but really then, does it matter? Their minds are made up.

Progressives should keep going on Fox and calling these idiots out like Ed did when their rudeness tramples rational three way discussion. They've all learned this from Hannity and O'Looney who seem to have mastered the technique. Whether it will make a difference in educating low information, narrow minded people remains to be seen. Unfortunately I think we have to wait for evolution to do the job in America. so this will be a long haul.
