NYT Caucus: Republicans Keep Focus on ACORN. Obama camp to respond this afternoon.
Republicans Keep Focus on Acorn
By Michael Falcone

McCain campaign manager Rick Davis’s forecast for Election Day calls for “fog” and “cloud of suspicion,” created, he said, by the ongoing controversy over fraudulent voter registrations collected by a liberal community organizing group.

Mr. Davis highlighted recent reports that the Association of Community Organizations for Reform Now, or Acorn, is under investigation by the F.B.I. and authorities in several states. Those reports, Mr. Davis said, “confirm the concerns that we’ve seen on a state by state basis of rampant voter fraud as it relates to registrations.”

~The Obama campaign, meanwhile, was planning to hold a conference call Friday afternoon to announce “major action” to combat what it called the “illegal conduct and improprieties in the sham ‘anti-fraud’ campaign orchestrated by McCain-Palin and the R.N.C.” Check back here for an update.

Mr. Davis, I must remind you, it's not 'voter fraud' unless you vote when you are not legally eligible. What a sham the GOP is attempting to perpetrate with the help of a clueless and compliant media.

2. McCain's Campaign is pathetic, the fact we have to talk about some small % of voter registrations &
that this small number of invalid voter Registrations could "bring down the fabric of American Democracy" is an absolute sham, and anyone with a reasonable sense of what the hell they are talking about know it. Too bad there are so many who have NO idea what this is about.

4. That definitely sounds like someone who expects to LOSE!
Trying to cast a "cloud of suspicion" on the election, means they know they're going to lose.
