The latest round of polling data (Time and Newsweek) both underweighted democrats and overweighted Republicans. The race is more thank likely Bush +3% or so right now.
This sets Kerry up nicely for a mid September surge in the polls to pull even or retake the lead (if the campaign plays this propertly and Kerry maintains the sharper tone we have seen in the last few days.)
When this occurs, the media will be able to re-identify Kerry as a comback kid - a scrappy fighter. I suggest we coin the term Comeback Kerry and make it stick with the media.

they are afraid, that there showed a jump, they are trying to lower expectation. we need to go after when number lowers. look we trust the poll, bush had a comfortable lead of 12, now it is tight, the people have turned on bush

Our mantra needs to be: "The 12 point lead was correct. Bush is weakening daily. Kerry is surging"

2. So, more Americans are fooled by Bush's double-talk? Okay, whatever. |
