so, is it over for Bush ? does he need a new campaign team ? |
|
Edited on Sun Sep-05-04 12:22 PM by JI7
there are a few polls out which don't give him much of a lead, and still under 50 percent. and this is after he had the month of august to himself mostly with kerry stopping his ads. and of course the republican convention was that month also and unlike the democratic convention which allowed for right wing talking heads to bash every speaker the republican convention only had their own whores to whore for the republicans .
so , does bush need a new campaign team ? does he need to fire whoever is running his campaign ?
did he not respond fast enough to criticisms on him from the kerry campaign about how bush needs to attack kerry since he(bush) has nothing positive to run on ?

1. Rove is running a terrible campaign for W |
|
He's wasted millions of dollars on ineffective ads. Everything Rove has done to help Bush ends up angering another constituency.
Short list of fatal Rove/Bush missteps -
Angering 9/11 families with tasteless ad footage Angering veterans with the purple heart stunt Reminding everybody of W's shameful TANG "service" Mission Accomplished banner Sending the demented Zell Miller out for the Republicans
And that's just for starters.

2. I think Rove has overplayed his hand |
|
But he doesn't know it yet, and Bush is too stupid and insular to have a clue.

Yes, it's over for *:bounce: but no, the existing team is fine with me. Their tactics will get really, really old by November, and we all know they only one way to campaign.

4. Don't you think Bush should be really pissed at Rove? |
|
Is he a girly-man or something, to let Rove fuck up his campaign like this without so much as throwing a tantrum?

6. Bush is a wimp just like his dad. |

Bush is too scared to go out in public and talk to people.

7. Hard to think of a worse-run campaign in modern history.... |
|
and there's still a long way to go.....
The major propaganda stroke of his four years, Junior Flyboy in his pilot costume posing in front of "Mision Accomplished," can't be used at all...except by the opposition.
The keynote speaker for the GOP convention has to be kept under lock and key so he doesn't challenge another reporter to a duel....
The Illinois Senate race is a public embarassment, and the GOP is desperately trying to keep their candidate away from the spotlight...
The delegates at the Republican convention openly mocked wounded veterans.
The rising star in their party on national TV in prime time mocked working men and women and the unemployed, and invoked the spirit of Richard Nixon.
The bold new initiatives for the future turned out to be the same warmed over crap about tax cuts for the wealthy and privatizing Social Security.
The slime boatters negative ad campaign has turned nito a major disaster for the GOP.
After selecting New York City for their convention they had to hide from New Yorkers and would have needed tanks to get near Ground Zero.
The only reason they can come up with to vote Republican after four years in office is that their candidate is "Anybody But Kerry."
Boy, that Rove....what a jenius!
