I really like Edwards as a campaigner |
|
Edited on Sun Sep-05-04 09:36 PM by buycitgo
he's on CSPAN right now...from Friday
can't he be on everywhere all the time?
can't they make him MUCH more central to the campaign, exposure-wise?
get him on the discussion shows EVERY DAY! why can't they do that? get him on ALL liberal radio shows....has he ever been on AAR?
there's just something about him that draws people in, even when he's criticizing his opponents
he can get AWAY with being negative, without seeming so
anybody else see this?
please tune in and see what you think

3. Yes, Edwards has great personal magnetism |
|
He comes across like a genuinely good guy, sincere and not cynical at all. I'm sure many Republicans don't see him that way, but to me he's a breath of fresh air.

5. god....going back to the primaries |
|
thinking that his relatively blank slate would yield much less fodder than Kerry's years in the senate.......not even knowing about the SBLiars, which could be the nail in his cross this time, just as Willie Horton sank Dukakis
they'd have had more trouble digging up dirt on him than Kerry; but it's too late for any recrim now
point is.....why not put him up there on equal footing with Kerry?
they did that in 2000 with the chimp: the reason people didn't worry about his lack of EVERY quality neceassary for a world leader was his entourage, chief of whom was the crashcart
Please, Kerry, wise up and USE the obvious resource at your elbow
bring him FORWARD!

inexperience. I liked Edwards too, and if Kerry doesn't win, I will probably be a default Edwards 2008 guy, but a blank slate also has problems.

13. I know; meant to bring that up.....sorta did w/Cheney 2000 ref |
|
Edited on Sun Sep-05-04 09:52 PM by buycitgo
also know that he's got liabilties as trial lawyer, but he doesn't seem to have the range of vulnerabilities as Kerry, based mostly on his senate votes
not that these attack points are justified, but he seems more exposed than Edwards
EDIT: lost post I just made on Cheney/Bush 2000, where Cheney and retinue made up, supposedly, for dumbo's lack of ANY qualification for the office

16. Why do you think he's not "forward" |
|
I see comments and press releases from him every day.
He hit back immediately on the Cheney speech with a great comment, citing the "gall" of Cheney to hail the dismantling of Libya's nuclear "program" (which wasn't even a program, more like pie-in-the-sky dreams) on the VERY SAME DAY that Iran announced it was going ahead with its nuclear program in the face of US and UN demands to stop.
I actually see more from Edwards than from Kerry.

Edwards just gave a firey, convincing speech. I loved the part about why the republicans were angry at their convention- We'\re they angry that your health insurance premiums went up? Were they angry that you lost your job? I feel that they are fighting, where Gore was not. I sense the difference. I don't see the eye gouging I would like to hear, but I do believe we are in for fireworks. Finally, I see Edwards as the man to do the job. It certain should be expected, coming from a trial lawyer.

He has an iron fist in a velvet glove.
He is trained to persuade.
I think kerry made a great choice when he picked Edwards.

Banishes all gloom and doom to see him in action. Excellent campaign speech. Great sound bites - which, of course, will never be seen away from CSpan.

|
contrast that to the likes of Cheney, Ghouliani, or, for chrissake, Zell Miller!
real up kinda guys, aren't they?
ALL they run on is fear, fear, and MORE fear
even the librul media says the only thing Bush has a substantial edge over Kerry is TERROR. as long as they concentrate on that, and Kerry smears, the edge is theirs.
If Kerry can get his message out....fat chance, given media dementia over irrelevancies, he has a chance

He's an awesome speaker, extremely good lawyer (always for the 'little guy', the 'underdog' - which is why the Repigs hate him).
I voted for him for Senate when I lived there...he's great! It's great to be able to vote for him for VP now!

I live in NC and have always been a big fan. Even though I knew he would one day make a great prez, I was worried when he decided to run this year because I thought he was getting in too soon. I was so happy Kerry picked him. Things have a way of working out, eh?
btw - Kerry is speaking here on Wednesday! Woo Hoo! I can't wait. I will take pics and report back.
