I like Kerry, but I'd have also voted for any of the other Democrats against Bush.

Like I said in another post, there is a cancer in the WH and it must be taken out....to be honest with you, I dont even know where Kerry stands on most issues....i do not care. All I know is that the man in the WH is a serious threat to our democracy and future....any man who lies to the people why we went to war and sends young men and women to die because of his lie should be locked and put away for life....i cant think of anything worse than that!

Even before the Supreme Court violated its mandate and selected *, I felt that the 2000 election was about restoring the integrity of the bench. *'s ideal is Scalia, a demented hack who has publicly denounced democracy and spoken with contempt of the Constitution. We need someone in the WH who will appoint moderate justices who actually are interested in maintaining equality and freedom in the country, rather than in pushing a totalitarian/religious extremist agenda.

In the beginning I was absolutely anybody but Bush, even after Kerry was nominated. But the more I've learned about Kerry over the last few months, I'm actually really excited to vote for him. He's not my ideal candidate, but who is? The main thing that I've grown to love and respect about Kerry is that as far as I can tell, he's spent his entire adult life fighting and fighting HARD for what he believes in and what he believes is right. You really can't beat that in my book.

Although I'm not real impressed with Kerry's campaigning style, I admire what he did to protest Vietnam, his effforts to locate POWs/MIAs, and his investigation into Reagan/Bush's treasonous Iran/Contra affair. For those reasons, I'm more than willing to overlook his IWR vote and his lackluster campaigning style.
I had reservations about Clinton, too, but I grew to love him in spite of his right-leaning policies.

Bush is spectacularly heinous, and I'd have voted for almost any other carbon-based life form, but I'm becoming more and more impressed with Kerry. But Bush* has just gotta go.
I go back a ways. I remember yelling furiously at the TV when Nixon announced that he wasn't a crook, and I thought he was the worst president we could ever possibly get stuck with. Now I'd take him back in a heartbeat if it meant The Chimpinator got sent back to Crawford (or better yet, the dock at a war crimes trial in The Hague). Sucks, doesn't it, that Dick nixon is starting to look good?

I'd have to say about 70% ABB, 30% FOR Kerry.
Before the convention, this was more like 90/10, so I'm warming up to him.:)

Once against Bush, and once for Kerry! This reminds me of the good old days in Chicago, where the saying was "Vote early, and vote often!"

last weekend at a roundtable discussion at a Women's Shelter in PA (shown on C-Span) it is my opinion that this woman would be one of the greatest First Ladies in history. If Kerry has the smarts to marry such a woman he will be a great President. I'm voting for Kerry and against Bush at the same time.

First I was voting against Bush, I would have voted for a dung beetle if that was the candidate. However after this campaign I'm definitely voting for Kerry. The right's repulsive tactics have had the exact same effect this time around as they did when it was Clinton in the hot seat - evoked in me great sympathy and greater respect for the man.
