"The conversation and the recruitment of old Clinton hands came amid rising concern among Democrats about the state of Mr. Kerry's campaign and criticism that he had been too slow to respond to attacks on his military record or to engage Mr. Bush on domestic policy. Among the better-known former Clinton aides who are expected to play an increasingly prominent role are James Carville, Paul Begala and Stanley Greenberg, campaign aides said."

6. It's about damn time.
I remember hearing that Carville wanted to sit this one out due to fears that his presence could potentially make the campaign more about him than the candidate. Glad to see he's changed his mind. I can't wait for the fur to start flying.

7. Carville should be in charge of "rapid response" ...

Carville should get up into their mean nasty little faces and twist their arm until they beg for mercy.

When dealing with nasty people, your only choice is being nasty in return until they ask for a truce. This is how bullies operate.

Remember during the whole Monica thing, the Republicans were going apeshit over "personal morality". Than Larry Flynt let loose a barrage of sex allegations and they started crowing about ending "the politics of personal destruction".

They're cowards and bullies. And the bully won't leave you alone until you stoop to his level and give him a black eye.

9. To quote James Carville from Clinton's 92 campaign:
To quote James Carville from Clinton's 92 campaign:

"The other guy can't attack you if your fist is always in his face."

"Enough of this pussyfooting around, taking the high road shit. I wanna see some bloody shivs, brusied knuckles and Republican bodybags three feet deep. I wanna see the Republicans cry for mercy and then not give them any. I wanna see their heads on pikes planted outside the proverbial city walls, with signs hanging on them that say "Liars. Thieves. Cowards."
