Poll question: How many years would you have to work to earn what Palin spent on clothes
Give or take a month or two, I'd have to work 5 years to gross what Caribou Barbie spent.

How about you?

a) gross is a fiction. We work for the spending power we receive. I net just over half that what with taxes, 401K, ESPP etc.

b) Even the most ardent fashionista has to spend something on non-clothing (although for the anorexic model types, perhaps very little on food).

Of MY clothing spending? That's about 300 years ;)

8. I probably spend less than $300 a year on clothes
so that works out to about 500 years or so.

9. Three solid years of net pay.
But I won't spend that much on clothes in ten lifetimes.

10. Realistically, most people would need a 30 year mortgage.
