http://www.politico.com/blogs/jonathanmartin/1008/Et_tu_Montana.html#commentsRemember during the primaries when we all talked about "States that don't matter"? This is kinda like that. Now we have the "fake America" parts, thanks to Palin.

6. Cheney's from WY. I had a professor in vet school (pathologist) |
named Cheney, from WY (vet school was in CO), and I asked him way back in the late 70s/early 80s if he was any relation to Dick Cheney (Sec Def at the time, IIRC), and he said no but I always thought his response was a little sketchy. There was definitely some physical resemblance. Maybe a brother or cousin who couldn't stand Dick even then?

3. Wonder what my cowboy friend from Montana thinks |
I know/knew an ole cowboy who moved East from Montana. Quite an interesting bird. Definately 'individualistic' in nature, but also did a lot of ranting and raving about how we were becomming slaves to technology and bells and whistles. he liked his guns, didn't like government much either, but also didn't like big business. He thought society should get back to the basics...communities, friends, neighbors working together. he was a combination of a lot of what makes both the red and blue states good.

10. You just described my Montana relatives |
It is not about religion. You do not talk about church and religion in Montana - I was shocked when I moved to Louisiana and it's the second thing asked about you after your name. But the people are great, lots of success stories and lots of very good dems from MT.

5. My hero Gov. Schweitzer told CNN a week or so ago that Montana could go for Obama |
with help from Ron Paul. Course with McCain's campaign sinking faster than anyone thought and Palin suffering from political hoof-in-mouth disease, Obama may not have needed Ron Paul's help, but we'll take it anyway.

9. I'm telling you - it has been GUNS GUNS GUNS from the reps |
and people finally have seen that that's horseshit. They have had nothing else coming at people in the ads - guess it got old. I think it will be close but I think we'll be blue!
