1. That Revenues Equal Income

Sounds technical, right? Not really. McCain keeps saying that people with "incomes" of $250,000 will include millions of small business people. Wrong. Those small business people have REVENUE of $250,000. From that, they have to pay overhead, rent, expenses, payroll, etc. They are only taxed on their NET, not their GROSS. A small business with gross revenues of $250,000 will typically have net before-tax income (or "profits" if you prefer) of about 20% of that, or about $50,000. In other words, that owner would be a beneficiary of Barack's tax plan, not a victim.

This is an extremely-common Pubbie lie. Ask any accountant or your firm's bookkeeper.
