That "black eye" looks like makeup. Who gets a shiner that bad without your eye turning red or even swelling?

No wonder she didn't want medical attention.

5. I thought the same thing

and the color is too uniform. Normally there are several different colors blending into each other that make up a shiner. The lack of swelling is very suspicious although I'm not too surprised that there's no redness or broken capillaries in the eyeball itself. Last spring I gave myself a nice shiner so bad that I fractured my cheekbone but the eyeball itself was fine (I was wrestling with the dog and whacked my face into the coffee table). It's the even color and lack of swelling that make her shiner look really fake to me.
