Just voted by mail
Edited on Fri Oct-24-08 12:20 AM by kennetha
In my precinct, everybody has to vote by mail because there aren't enough people apparently to justify staffing a polling place. First time ever that has happened.

Still wish it was Hillary for whom I was casting a ballot. But hey, you can't have everything. Here in California the winner of our electoral votes is a forgone conclusion. Obama will win by 20 points. But we've got that awful proposition 8 to defeat. So get out there and vote fellow progressives.

1. As a fellow Hillary supporter, I did too wish that it was she on the ballot.
But she wasn't.

I voted for the Democratic candidate.

And every other Democrat on the ballot.

Even in Texas.

2. I put my ballot in the mail today, too. It felt great!
I've been waiting for months and months to fill in the little oval next to Barack Obama's name. To finally do it was almost surreal. I kept looking at my ballot and checking to make sure I'd filled it in correctly. I voted straight Dem. ticket, including a vote for Jeff Merkley to kick Bush kiss-up Republican Senator Gordon Smith out of the U.S. Senate and to help make sure there are no more Republicans from the West Coast polluting the Senate.

7. I voted today, too, in California and voted for Obama and NO on 8!
I am sooooooooooo PO'd that this prop is on the ballot. Who gets married is NO one's business except the two people involved. As long as they are consenting adults ~~ it simply is a private matter.

And the bullshit about "marriage protection?" If one needs a law to keep others from getting married to protect one's own marriage? GMAB...there was NOTHING there to being with!

:hi:
