Sherrod Brown: Watch Hannity and O'Reilly cry on election night
Sherrod Brown: Watch Hannity and O'Reilly cry on election night
By SilentPatriot Friday Oct 24, 2008 5:30am

Senator Brown makes a funny.

“About quarter till 12 on election night, it’s gonna be Bill O’Reilly sitting there with Sean Hannity,” he said, drawing another cascade of jeers from the crowd at the mention of another popular conservative Fox host.

“No, no wait a sec, this is gonna be too much fun. You’re not gonna be booing ‘cause you know what’s coming next. So Hannity – they’re going through all these numbers and Barack’s won California, New York and Illinois and Michigan and Wisconsin, Pennsylvania and all these others. And, you know McCain wins Utah or something,” Brown said, drawing appreciative laughs and claps from the energized crowd.

“Then Hannity’s sitting there next to O’Reilly, and they’re looking at each other, and O’Reilly says, ‘You gonna do it?’ And Hannity says, ‘No.’ So O’Reilly – sweat’s coming, tears are coming down his cheeks – you can see ‘em on your flat screen. And O’Reilly says, ‘Well, Ohio went for Barack Obama. He’s gonna be president of the United States!”

1. A little bit off the subject but funny anyway.
I did some calling for Obama from a list and a script provided by my local Democratic office. The list is suppose to be Democratic voters.

Here's the conversation:

Me: (I introduce myself and tell who I'm calling for) I want to remind you that early voting has started and will continue until October 30th. (then I give more details about times and places)

Me: Can I ask who you will be voting for?

Woman on Phone: I'm a lifelong Republican. I certainly would never vote for Obama.

Me: I wonder how you got on my list then...

Woman on Phone: (Interrupting) A call will never make me change my vote.

Me: I want to remind you to vote... (the rest of the script is about voting Democratic straight down the ballot) I guess this part doesn't apply to you since you are a Republican.

Woman on Phone: What because I'm a Republican you wont give me the early voting information. I guess you want Republicans not to vote?

Me: Well, there's an idea (I had already given her the information about early voting).

Woman on Phone: I'm going to report you to Bill O'Reilly (hangup).

Now will Bill O'Reilly come hunt me down for telling her she had a good idea about not voting? Oh me, Oh my, whatever shall I do.
