I need a hug!!!!

This crazy McCain volunteer B-girl is just a symptom of a larger narrative in the GOP campaign.

Why else would McCain bother campaigning in a state that hasn't voted for a Repub prez since 1988 and has had him minus 10-15 points in the polls for the past month?

The answer is racism under the false umbrella of "culturally conservative" Western PA.

Sadly, there are racists here, particularly in the exurbs and rural areas of Western PA but, this is different. This election the GOP is trying to prey on the more ethnic neighborhoods WITHIN the city of Pittsburgh where older people of Slavic ancestry don't trust people of Slovenian ancestry and vice versa(this is no bullshit).

So, yes, I take this hoax personally and I'm mad as hell. It is just one more attempt by the GOP racists to get votes for McCain.

Fortunately, I think Pittsburghers, of all stripes, will be angry and insulted. Should cause the majority of uncommitted to vote for Obama.

2. I agree--the reason they're working the 'Burgh so hard is because
there are so many little enclaves of "white Catholic ethnics" there. I'm from there, and of Slavic descent myself, and I know my town, and yes--I know that they tend to be suspicious and judgmental of other ethnicities and races. The GOP is trying really hard to stoke that.
