Regardless Of The Outcome... Thanks, Senator Clinton!
Dear Senator Clinton,

First, let me say that I was not a supporter of yours during the primaries. In fact, truth be told, that is something of an understatement. There was much about your campaign that I found off-putting. And when it was all over and you said that you'd do all you could to help elect Senator Obama, I will admit that I was skeptical.

Well, that was then and this is now. You have proved me completely wrong and I want to say so publicly. And I'd like to take this opportunity to acknowledge not only your hard work but also the character you've shown in working so diligently and selflessly for the Obama campaign. You set an example for the party and for generations of candidates who will follow in your wake. You didn't limit yourself to a perfunctory effort and you didn't mail it in. You went all out and you made a big difference. I don't think I've ever been quite so happy to be wrong about something.

Thank you, Senator Clinton. No one will forget your efforts this year.

12. One thing she said pretty much defines her: bloom where you're planted.
She attacks life, she moves on and lives it and doesn't sit around feeling sorry for herself. She's got guts.

4. Quite the opposition poster in that thread...
Quite the opposition poster in that thread. Not you, of course-- one of the other posters who wrote something to the effect of "I bet she WON'T help out the Dem nominee in the GE". :P

I wonder if s/he has ever recanted this most erroneous of statements.

Hill's always going to be my girl-- but Obama's about to be my President, and life is good :)

5. She's a remarkable woman
I was very torn between the two during the primaries and I never doubted she would step up to the plate when the time came. Kudos to my senator.

6. K&R
I'm very proud to have supported Senator Clinton in the primary. I will always wonder what it might have been like had she won but if she had to lose to anyone I am glad that she lost to Barack.

7. I had to set an African-American girlfriend straght about this today
She said she was disappointed in the Clintons' lukewarm support, and I told her No, only Bill is being a jackass, Hillary is out there kicking ass and taking names. "Jobs, baby, Jobs." but you rarely see much coverage - it's all Palin all the time.

8. I knew she would work hard. I just never thought she would put her whole heart
in it. But she makes people BELIEVE what she's saying. She's not just going through the motions. I am amazed at her and awed by her. I am proud of her and I am grateful to her.

She has closed ranks and campaigned for the party's nominee tirelessly. I have been deeply impressed. She deserves our thanks.
