Time: Dean on the Rise poll graphics: Bush 51, Dean 46% = Electability!
Part of the cover story on Dean are these poll graphics:

http://www.time.com/time/covers/1101040112/#

The end of the unelectable meme. Anyone who uses that RW meme will have to officially ignore this poll. Plus the poll was of likelys. They had to switch from the regular Registered count because Dean must have BEATEN BUSH!

Also 48% of these same voters know little or nothing about Dean! When the other half find out, Dean will be several points ahead of Bush, Likelys or not!

NEED A BUSHECTOMY?? CALL DR. DEAN! STAT!

1. I will support him

He won his place though my original support was for Clark. Neither can be discounted, nor DISCREDITED.

5. That makes my day! CNN lied by omission.
I was so mad when they discounted this yesterday on Crossfire.

In your face, Carville and Begala who refused to mention it.

Kudos to McAuliffe for being honest.

Whether it is accurate or not is NOT the point. You can not hide polls and pretend they did not exist!

7. Dean is electable...
but don't put too much weight in the CNN poll taken over New Years. Dean still has a lot of work to do to catch up and pass shrub. There is no vast coverup. It is one data point that is out of touch with all the other polling.

9. I don't agree. There is no way to know if a poll is ignored.
It is called media manipulation. Right or wrong, it did not look good for Bush. It was hidden and not referred to. That was wrong.

10. It is called verification...
similar to why you look for multiple sourses for a story. The number was off compared to the other every other number and the fact that it was taken over a holiday could explain the anamoly. Until it is verified by other polling, it is not a lead story. It has been reported and mentioned, but it has been discounted for legitimate polling reasons.

11. Disagree. A poll should be talked about, not hidden.
Legitimate polling reasons....too many Republicans (who in the words of Bill Schneider scurried back to Bush's side), or because it was a feel-good time over the holidays. People who feel good vote for Dean?

Which was the legit reason?

8. I agree, He can and will beat Bush if he sticks to his plan to
provide Tax Relief to the Middle Class, and if after the "VOTING" has occurred he can win the nomination against Clark. Good for him, he's due for some relief after the attacks he's recently suffered. If Trippi pushes him into an Attack/Slander mode against the General however, like he did against Kerry... he's toast with the voters who are tired of the slanderous crap in this primary. He'll have to run on the merits of his platform, finally.

15. Here's a much better link right to the graphics:
http://www.time.com/time/covers/1101040112/poll/

The registered survey must have shown something like

Dean 49
Bush 48

SO THEY SWITCHED IN THE LIKELYS! Dean leading Bush by even a point would have been HUGE NEWS AND HELPED DEAN ENORMOUSLY IN IOWA AND NH. That's why they pulled the big Switcheroo. Likely voter are always several point more conservative than Registereds because they contain more Republicans.

400 Registereds were lopped off this poll!!!

CALLING DR. DEAN! CALLING DR. DEAN! PLEASE REPORT TO THE OPERATING ROOM! STAT!
