"Support President Bush & Our Troops"

These damn law signs keep popping up in my neighborhood -- always in conjunction with an "official" B/C 04 sign. I live in a solid blue state, so I'm not worried about trends or anything here. I just find them so freaking offensive.

So here's my question. Would someone be as bad as the repukes if they went around and put tape over either the "President Bush" or "Our Troops"?? Look, people should be free to put as many B/C 04 lawns signs up as they want. But these just seem to cross the line.

1. Or cross out the "AND" and write in "OR"

Don't go around and put tape over either the "President Bush" or "Our Troops"

Do challenge the idea that supporting our troops means you have to support Bush. Bush has screwed the troops.

Let them know--straight-forwardly and temperately--that supporting the troops means dumping Bush. Put it in writing and send it to your local newspaper. I did:

3. It's pointless and counterproductive

All that does is fire up the other guy. As you would easily see if someone came and made "corrections" to anything you put out on your lawn.

You aren't going to do anything but get people pissed off.

On edit: I'd suggest some clever counter sign on your own lawn.

I more just wanted to vent a little bit because I get so angry every time I see one of them.

The counter sign idea, however, is pretty good. I'm partial to "Support Our Troops: Elect One"

DEFEND AMERICA, DEFEAT BUSH, or something of that nature.
