Not all polls are good news but even this one has a sliver of sunshine in it.
I just got back from a 26-mile bike ride on a beautiful autumn afternoon through one of North Jersey's richest and most republican suburbs. I have to say that far more McMansions had McCain-Palin signs vs Obama signs, probably 4 or 5 to 1. But just the fact that I saw any Obama signs brought a smile to my face. This is a town of million-dollar knockdowns and where if your income is 250K a year, then you have a problem. Republicans run unopposed in town elections. Good to know that some McMansions don't mind the thought of paying higher taxes to help out their country.

Very nice people I babysat their kids when I was young. Very down to earth. They are now retired. I bumped into them in Gary Indiana. Like me they traveled from the Chicago area to canvass for Obama. We were canvassing in a very economically deprived African American community. They enjoy doing it. I gotta say it is very rewarding and fun going to such a blue area for GOTV. They are spending their weekdays in downtown Chicago volunteering at the Obama office. I do believe they are looking forward to their taxes being raised!
