In Florida, Sarah Palin says Barack Obama acts as if he's already won presidential election

By MITCH STACY
Associated Press Writer

TAMPA, Fla. (AP) -- Republican vice presidential nominee Sarah Palin had a pointed message Sunday for Barack Obama: This thing isn't over yet. Palin said the Democratic presidential nominee was acting as if he's already won the election and had already written his inaugural address.

"Barack Obama and I both have spent quite some time on the basketball court," Palin told a raucous crowd of more than 5,000 at the convention center. "But where I come from, you have to win the game before you start cutting down the net."

Nine days before the election, Palin was making another push to sway voters in the battleground state of Florida, where polls show Republican nominee John McCain trails Obama in the fight for the state's 27 electoral votes. The Interstate 4 corridor between Tampa to Orlando, where Palin was concentrating her efforts Sunday, is where most of the state's undecided voters live. It takes 270 Electoral College votes to win the presidency.

"You kinda get the feeling that the Obama campaign thinks this whole election process is just a formality," she said. "They've overlooked, though, the minor detail of earning your confidence and your trust and winning your vote. And judging from the media coverage, it does seem the coronation is already set."

8. Where are they getting this garbage? Obama himself has said the opposite
This kind of nonsense is good for firing up a sports team. Not so much an election

10. Actually, she and McCain act like Obama acts like it
They do so purely because they can both see the writing on the wall and are desperately looking for something, anything, to shift the narrative in their favor. They haven't been able to get him on anything else, so they're trying to label him as "arrogant" and hoping that the American people are dumb enough to fall for it.

11. I heard a bit of that.
What really amazed me was when she made the remark about them already having a space rented for the celebration. I wonder, maybe she hasn't received her invitation to the election night party at the Biltmore in Az.

14. Ummm...
Isn't Obama the one still making hard pushes into traditionally red states whereas Palin and McCain have pulled their funds and campaign from numerous states? Cause, I dunno, maybe I'm just an idiot, but it seems to me that Obama is making sure that he keeps fighting till the end, whereas McCain/Palin have thrown in the towel. But what do I know, I'm just a socialist...errr...marxist...I mean communist anti-american...yeah that's it. :eyes:

and her feeble brained spouse off to Alaska on November 5h. I don't think I can stand any more of seeing or hearing her.

16. Obama has regularly admonished his supporters not be "cocky" and
"It's not over yet".

Palin creates her own reality, doesn't she?

17. So what? Palin acts as if she's qualified.
Her record, her speeches and her answers to interview questions show that she isn't.

21. And this is from the lady who was
prayed into office and "it happened just like that"?

Plus poor little Sarah, it is not Barack who is acting like the campaign is over, but you, and McCain's staff -- you know, everyone trying to position themselves in the best possible light after the loss.
