"After the rally Denver, Obama's heading to Fort Collins, where he will hold another rally on the oval on the Colorado State University campus."

Wonder how that did?

13. Here's more info on that Fort Colins Early Vote rally!
4:49 p.m. Democratic presidential candidate Barack Obama, speaking to a young crowd of about 45,250 at Colorado State University, urged them to vote early, to keep the faith and promised to find ways to help with tuition if they were willing to serve their country.

14. The Fort Collins rally was ENORMOUS
Edited on Sun Oct-26-08 06:51 PM by Bryan
The police put attendance at 45-50,000 (I know a goodly number were bused in, but that is still an impressive turnout in a town of 130,000).

My friends and I queued up at 11:00, and only just got in at the scheduled start time of 3:30. The campaign had completely given up on the cursory security checkpoint in favor of letting the crowd through, and people were running down the street to join the crowd (I cooled it after one volunteer helpfully yelled out that the Secret Service weren't too pleased to see the crowd running). It was shoulder-to-shoulder on the Oval and Obama was a faint speck in the distance.

12. A good day in Denver.
I was at the rally today. There were alot more than 100,000 people that showed up. I have some pics but I can not upload them. It was a really good and positive gathering. We waited for 2 hours in line to get through security and never heard a single complaint. A great day for democracy.

18. Not just DC.
If necessary, they should converge at the state capitols across the nation.
