Kelly O'Donnell sure gives me the impression that she wants McCain to win. |
|
Or maybe there is something wrong with me.

1. She's ridin' the Hate Talk Express. They've kicked journos off the plane for badmouthing them. |
|
I don't think she gives a damn who wins, though. Just wants to keep working.

3. She's covered the campaign for over a year... |
|
...she knows everyone and is probably at least sympathetic to them - plus, she would have great access to a McCain administration.
I'm sure everyone that covers Obama feels the same way.

4. It's not you... notice her use of the adjective "Democrat" instead of "Democratic"? |

She's always regurgitated McCain talking points. Not one guest on the MTP panel was a liberal Democrat.

7. She's too close to the candidate to say otherwise |

I think when you cover a guy this closely for months on end, weaker minds probably start drinking some of the koolaid that is being passed around on bus and plane rides. When this "race" started, McCain was still a media darling. Heck, what am I saying? They're still trying to write another McCain comeback story!

8. I was actually surprised the other day |
|
that Dana Bash on CNN was relaying all of the infighting that the staffers within the McCain camp had talked to her about ...I mean, I know that the staffers said something to Dana so that she would mention it, but I can't imagine hearing about any stuff like this from Kelly O'Donnell...she's very much a "loyal soldier"

was sealed as the myth that the media has nourished.
They are scared of the money, because it speaks to ordinary citizens getting rid of the status quo.
watch Barack do something real about Public Financing ASAP, once elected.

She covered the White House for NBC during the Bush years when the country was looted by right wing pirates and nothing but lies were told and basic freedoms were taken away. Her reports from those years were nothing but White House talking points.
Then they put her on the McCain campaign and its the same thing. Nothing ever but McCain's daily talking points with "McCain says" or "McCain wants the public to know" or other tricks to make it look like her reports were written by the her instead of the McCain camp.
O'Donnell's coverage has nothing to do with her getting access or getting kicked off the McCain campaign. She's gone out of her way to spin every possible time for McCain.
I write complaints about her on NBC's blog, the Daily Nightly, but I can't mention her name or they won't post it. They run my recaps of her terrible reports sometimes. I wish there was a big letter writing campaign to NBC to get rid of her. She's obviously a hardcore Republican who is all in for the cause. Its like having Elizabeth Hasselbeck as a correspondent on the Nightly News.
