If McCain knows what's good for him, he'll lose: |
|
1. If he wins a close election, then he'll be considered as a thief since the assumption is that the voting machines are rigged and there will be at least, shall we say, civil disobedience....or possibly not so civil.
2. If, and this is nearly impossible, he wins by a substantial margin, he'll have not one nanosecond of Honeymoon. If someone stubs her toe, it'll be his fault. And with Palin in the wings, his chance of survival are nil.
He would do well if he just disappeared, made no more MTP appearances, and just fade away.

1. These people don't care |

what anyone thinks of them, winning at all-any costs is all that matters.

2. It's not popularity, it's survival, literally. |

3. Since McCain Obviously Doesn't Know What's Good for Him |
|
we will have to take the matter out of his hands entirely.
I have to wonder why he goes through the motions. But then, I wondered about Bob Dole, too.
The GOP threw that election, too. But frankly, their pipeline of up-and-coming politicians is empty. Still, they throw away their money and go through the motions....good exercise, training oppportunity, chance to try out new scams, etc..., while they prep the next empty suit for the next opportunity.
