7. I can't believe its finally almost over
It felt like it was just yesterday when Obama announced his candidacy for President of the United States, but its almost been two years!

It feels like yesterday when he won the Iowa caucuses, but its almost been a year! Crazy.

9. Too long, indeed...
You know how some people say that they wish the election was tomorrow? I wish it was four or five days ago, when Obama had his highest margin in the polls.

Since then, it's tightened a bit -- not much, but a bit. I would have liked the polling to take place at our "high-water mark" so that it could be a genuine blowout. Sorry, but I don't think it will be a week from now. I think we'll see further narrowing of the margin (natural in the last week of a presidential campaign), plus I'd prefer not having another week of Newsweek, CNN, etc., touting the "Bradley effect" and, in essence, telling white voters it's natural (and, thus, all right) for them to disregard their interests and simply vote for the candidate whose skin color most closely matches theirs.

:grr:

11. Every day seems like an eternity.
My God it's taking forever. But I tell you what, win or lose (I assume win...), pulling that lever for Obama will be one of the proudest moments of my life.
