Politico: The Wright Ad Arrives |
|
http://www.politico.com/blogs/bensmith/1008/Wright_TV.html#commentsUnless McCain condemns this ad personally (don't send any flunkies out to do it), I'll assume that 'He's john McCain and he approved this message.' - as

2. Everybody that cares about Rev Wright is already solidly in the McCain camp.... |
|
Wright's ability to move poll numbers ended sometime in May.
Those who could be moved by him were.

21. I agree. Plus people know the deal... Chris Rock, Dave Chappelle |
|
etc. say a lot of the same things that Rev. Wright said. I went to see Dave Chappelle in Atlanta 2 yrs ago and the audience was full of white people!

after hearing the well-publicized hate spewing from the mouths of Palin-McCain supporters at their rallies, Wright doesn't have the same "shock" value to me.

|
It's really pretty weak! It represents the death struggle of McCain's dying campaign.

10. A commenter at TPM said this: |
|
'That's not a campaign ad, that's a suicide note.'
I'm inclined to agree. That ad is the slab that seals the crypt, and forever brands McCain a race-baiting thug.

6. Let's hope the AIP ad is not far behind......... |
|
I think Obama has been saving this till the end, to use only if he gets hit with a negative ad about Wright or some other crap.

12. Dick Morris trumpeted that this group would run the Wright angle in ads this week. |
|
Dick Morris said this weekend that a GOP group would run Wright ads the last week of the campaign for McCain so he wouldn't have to do it himself.
It's all orchestrated.
And Karl Rove, who hasn't missed having his fingers in racist ads yet, is certainly involved.

After all, Palin never objected to the comments that Jews deserve terrorism because they do not love Jesus enough.

But it's been nearly a full news cycle now, and we haven't heard a peep from Senator Straight Talk denouncing this ad.
John McCain's word is worthless.

24. I have heard Failin say far worse things about the American GOV. |
|
Than Rev Wright.
Wright says, Gov. Lie. How is that bad, how is it not the truth? Hellllllooooo Bush Administration
America's chickens had come home to Roost, Our Government, has been a world wide bully, Our Government had done a lot of horrible things around the world. The IRAQ war is just the most recent example, and old one is the bombing of Japan, Veitnam, on and on.
All Rev Wright did was speak the truth in a colorful manor. I wouldn't go to his curch, but only because I don't like traditional churches, but nothing he said was wrong.

26. Thank Hillary Clinton... |
|
I was pissed at the time - but one "gift" of the long primary season is Obama's inoculation against the whole "Wright & Ayers thing" thanks to Hillary's primary tactics and a MSM wallowing in the stories. Everyone reachable has already made up their mind about Obama's Ayers/Wright connection. This is old news that makes the republicans look desperate and frankly more interested in mud slinging than solving the real problems of America. Worse yet - it won't help elect any down ticket republicans in congressional races.
The politics of KKKarl Rove may just be dead as a doornail.
