2. Why do they keep this story going....and going.....and going?
By coming up with a new explanation every day, they keep the story in the news, and lose time to talk about whatever issues they think are important.

5. She smacked him down
Nora did fine. He kept refusing to answer the question, so she kept asking until he looked stupid, which wasn't hard for him to do.

He tried to shift the focus by asking her if she had asked the DNC if it had paid for clothes for Obama and Biden. She responded by saying that was a good idea and she would ask Howard Dean if the DNC had done that. And he looked even more stupid.

8. How do reporters/anchors who have to dress for the camera compare to candidates whose minds need to
work?

The packaging is a mere facade for the business of running the country. I have no idea how much women need to spend in order to make the TV facade work.

But I do know how damaging it is for a candidate NOT TO ANSWER MOST POLICY QUESTIONS RIGHT, NOT to hold press conferences or answer hard questions, and NOT sensibly respond in a normal presidential debate contest to the opponent. When you add that to $150K for a wardrobe, the public has got to ask: why did McCain inflict this woman on the general populace?
