Lieberman: I've Talked To Doctors, McCain "Will Live To 85 At Least"
With friends like Lieberman....

http://www.huffingtonpost.com/2008/10/27/lieberman-promises-voters_n_138278.html

In an audio clip of the Tampa, Florida, event obtained by the Huffington Post, Lieberman acknowledged that he has spoken "to doctors and insurance actuaries" about McCain's health, "because I get asked this question so much."

"People say to me, oh jeez, he's 72 and he's got skin cancer," Lieberman said, adding: "I can tell you he's been in remission for eight years. Secondly, I talked -- because I get asked this question so much -- I talked to doctors and insurance actuaries. And they tell me based on McCain's age, his health, including skin cancer, he'll live till at least 85. And probably longer."

1. Joe LIEberman is McCain's Medical Proxy under Connecticut's Domestic Partner law, so he should know.

6. He may be "expected" to live until 85, but I doubt any doctor or insurance actuary said he WILL live
to 85.

11. In other words, don't NOT vote for McCain just because Palin is a peabrain?
Isn't that what he's really saying here? Don't not vote for McCain because he made a stupid choice for veep, because his doctor says the american people and the world won't have to pay for his mistake even if we elect him?

Brilliant logic, droopy.

Edited on Mon Oct-27-08 04:44 PM by Two Sheds
I have asked scores of professionals if THEY think John McCain will die in office and they all say "No. I do not think that John McCain will die in office."

What an idiot. Just for "he's 72 and he's got skin cancer."

Why, other than being a shill for the insurance industry, would you ask an actuary about a specific medical history?

21. But will he be mentally competent?
Thats the big question.

True, age doesn't necessarily mean that you will be senile. My great aunt is 89 and is sharp as a tack.

But some of McCain's behaviors remind me of my grandmother before we found out that she had dementia. And that disturbs me.

The longer the campaign drags on, the more McCain loses it. That doesn't bode well for preforming well in a super high stress job like the presidency.

And god help this country if Palin becomes president.

And Fristy was able to do a diagnosis that McGrumpy appears to be "responsive."

36. I've had melanoma myself and
I was told I have about an 83% chance of surviving 5 years because mine was caught very early. John McCain's looks like it was pretty well advanced and he had I think 3 bouts with it so far I would say is chances of living 5 years more less than 50/50.

42. Exactly. His brain is fried. When he forgets something, he starts over from the beginning, like
the recordkeeper in Kunta Kinte's African tribe. It's sad, except that it makes me mad that he insists on running for President. I mean, he must have noticed that he's losing it. If not, the people around him, proppping him up, must have noticed.

And why are LIEberman, Palin and/or Cindy always standing right behind him through his speeches? It's bizarre.
