If Obama wins the states where he only has a 7 or more point in the Poll Averages he has 277 Electoral Votes.

I used 7 to counter the margin of error and the (unproven and outdated) Bradley effect.

Basically this is the worst case scenario for Obama!

The only drops today were NH by 2 points and IA by 1 point. PA went up by one point!

1. Can he win it without Virginia?
Because if this lawsuit by the NAACP gets widely known, he may loose VA. This is a stupid move by the NAACP!

2. Yes Obama can win without VA
And no the NAACP case does not prevent Obama from winning. It forces the Federal Government to do something in that state about the disgracefully long lines at Polling Stations in Democratic areas. This can only help Obama.

In addition the American Civil Liberties Union of Virginia and the Virginia State Conference of the NAACP have established hotlines for voters who run into problems before and on Election Day.

The two groups also are distributing informational cards to make voters aware of their rights.

Voters may contact someone at the NAACP or the ACLU if they feel they are being illegally denied the right to vote or have a question about a problem. The NAACP hotline number is (804) 321-5678. The ACLU number is (804) 644-8080.

The Virginia Voter Empowerment cards, which are free to civic groups, nonprofit organizations, individuals and political campaigns, are pocket-sized, accordion-fold cards intended to help voters overcome obstacles they may encounter on Election Day.

Cards can be ordered by calling (804) 644-8080 or sending an e-mail to acluva@acluva.org.

4. I sure hope you are right.........
but as a Virginian, I can see white voters looking at this as a frivolous lawsuit - people being "ungrateful" to Kaine and Holton for their strong support. I'll be a nervous wreck before this election is over! I so want Virginia to go Obama - I just don't want ANYTHING to hurt that great chance we have right now.

3. He only needs one of either VA or CO,
if it's only CO, he needs to also hold NH, or it will be a 269-269 tie.
