McCain the lame is scared of icy rain!
JOHN McCAIN PUSSES OUT ON RAINY RALLY; OBAMA STAYS: Well ladies and gentlemen, that settles it. Your brave war hero John McCain does not want to hold an outdoor rally in the rain in Pennsylvania, while an hour away, Barack Obama the Hawaiian shark god whips a drenched crowd of 9.000 into an orgiastic frenzy. What is wrong with all these terrible hippies, standing in the rain to listen to some guy talk about hope while his teleprompter breaks.

10. Ok,
Got there at 7. Picked up my blue ticket from one of the staff got in line waited for an hour in the freezing cold to be screened by Secret Service. Picked a nice spot on the fence Where Barack would come out. I'd have a view of the back of his head during the speech but was sure I could shake his hand when he walked by.

Ed Rendell, Joe Stesak, and Bob Brady fired up the crowd. Two cute 9 year olds led the crowd in the pledge of allegiance and a pastor delivered an invocation asking God for good weather on election day and that no one's vote not be counted.

Barack came out. Hammered home why he was running. Crowd was cold but very enthusiastic and I learned a new Obama chant to the Apache Song for Get Out the Vote from the SEIU people standing next to me.

11. Couldn't tell
I was up by the stage but I heard on the radio home 9000. Took me an hour to get out of Chester to get home if that's an indication.

3. What a message McCain is sending to his supporters: Don't get wet on my account.
I sure hope it rains on election day.

6. Not me! Rain unfortunately cuts turnout
and mostly among Dems. Hopefully this time we will all be more motivated, but Repukes count on it and are no doubt PRAYING for it.

13. Our GOTV Motto here in Ohio:
"If it rains, let it rain!
The wetter, the better!"

We have our canvassers chanting it! We're really pushing the Early Vote, but are armed and ready with umbrellas and huge pots of hot coffee for Election Day in case it rains.

19. Buckeyes are really working hard on GOTV.
Here are some statistics I stole from Buckeye State Blog:

While we’re at it, here are some stats from the Obama camps performance here in Ohio:

691,858 – Phone calls placed to fellow Ohioans by volunteers across the state last week
463,958 – Number of doors knocked last week
385,684 – Number of doors knocked this weekend
9,712 – Number of volunteers knocking doors this weekend to help beat Pennsylvania

That last bit refers to an interesting competition held between the Ohio and Pennsylvania volunteers to see which state could knock on the most doors over the weekend.

Thanks for working so hard, Jen.

4. I stood in the rain for hours to see John Kerry - and he stood there in the rain to speak
We didn't even have umbrellas because they made people turn them in for security reasons.

Clinton spoke here (Seattle) in the rain, too.

I'm guessing McCain's supporters weren't exactly motivated to go hang out in the rain just to see him?

Nobody wants a President Palin.

Nobody who counts.

9. Who would wait in the rain for John McCain?
He is drawing only 1.000 people when the weather is perfect. Nobody wants to nod in the rain
