a friend just gave me an idea - he and his wife plan to date their's and add it to their scrapbook.

I'm going to have my laminated after I date it.

This is history in the making folks - and what would make a better souvenir or memento to hand down to your grandchildren?

1. I have a few year's worth stuck to my jewelry box.
As a poll worker for the primary, I got a beautiful pin. Pin says "Alameda County Primary Election" and the date. I am very excited about getting one for this election.

3. I've never once received one of those stickers.
I didn't get one when I cast my first vote in Maryland, and I never have in Tennessee. I've always felt cheated.

23. Has McCain been placing them on his left cheek?
I never have gotten one because I always vote absentee.

I guess it wouldn't be hard to make one, get some sticker stock to run through my ink jet printer.

I plan on making a nice shirt on Nov 5th to annoy repubs using iron ons.

10. Good idea.
My daughters have quite a collection of Obama-Biden materials. I suspect that you can guess where they get that behavior from. They like to look at the various things I've collected from JFK and RFK, etc.

11. Yea, That is a great idea
Maybe I will laminate it and stick it in one of the pages of the book my daughter had signed by Barack.

I also have a couple of extra bumper stickers just for history sake.

13. I'll add mine to a couple other political relics
A "Jail to the Chief" bumpersticker from Nixon's time and a Biden for Senate bumpersticker and flyer from his 1972 Senate campaign.

Interestingly, completely independent of your post, I had the thought this morning of keeping my "I voted" sticker and dating it.

(No, it didn't say anything about McGramps or Obama. It was a Dead President book, lol.)

27. We don't get any kind of sticker here in Michigan.
I did put an Obama/Biden bumper sticker in each of my daughters treasure boxes. I also plan to get a few newspapers from the day after the election to put in there too. That will be really cool for them to look at when they get older.

33. I stuck mine on my mailbox w/ my Obama sticker
I live in an apartment building, so I don't have a yard to put a sign in. But we have a bank of those little wall-slot mailboxes all in a row, and I stuck an Obama sticker on mine right around the 1st debate. It's still there, so I guess nobody in the building was terribly offended by it. So after I got back from the polls, I stuck the "I voted!" sticker underneath it. Now people will see it when they get their mail and maybe it'll remind them to go vote, too.
