The point is to avoid the kind of complacency that makes people think that since Obama has it wrapped up, each vote does not matter so much.
Each and every vote matters, no matter what the polls say. They are not facts. They are merely projections of what may be. The only facts that we will know will be seen after election day.

obama is up but rational voters react when the polls tighten. Why is it so bad to worry out loud when the polls take a turn for the worse - it's not like saying you don't support the troops because you don't support the war.
