---
McCain has noticed Tennessee volunteers helping win North Carolina (link) and (link) - and he's fighting us back hard because he knows what's at stake....the 15 electoral votes that could decide this election.

He's using negative politics, voter intimidation and vilifying Robo-Calls like this one (click here), saying Obama "opposes jailing murders and rapists." and questioning Obama's patriotism.

You are needed now.

THIS IS IT! You have 7 days to show you want a different kind of politics.

4. I was working in our local headquarters today (Chattanooga),
driving people to vote, filling in where needed, and doing data entry and an older woman who was in phone banking was trying to decide whether she should go to IN or NC. She moved here from IN and she was trying to determine where she would be needed more.

5. We've been going from Utah to Colorado for a month
and lots of ppl from Calif have been going to Nevada.

This cross state thing is a great idea. For my whole life my vote has not counted in Utah. This year it did (in the primary) and the Obama campaign found a way for me to contribue something besides money.

did the same thing by going there to canvass. I have to say there is no better ground game than Obama's.

9. I would seriously go if he chartered one from Columbia, S.C.
We had the best ground organization during the primaries, and I attended meetings where Obama campaign workers asked us to drive to Charlotte, but my car is no shape for that distance. Someone please let me know if they will be sending buses from here soon. Thanks.

20. I did 2 trips like that for Dean when he was in the primaries!
I took a bus trip from Houston to Iowa and a flight from Houston to NH (Dean's Texas Rangers! woohoo!). It was a great time! I have been wishing I could go to a battleground state to help. If I had the money I would in a heartbeat. I am really happy to hear that they are doing this, because I am sure there are lots of people like me in that area who have been chomping at the bit to work, but couldn't swing the cost. It will be a BLAST and very rewarding!

25. There are buses every weekend from NYC to PA
Edited on Wed Oct-29-08 02:38 PM by JPZenger
There are buses full of Obama volunteers every weekend from NYC to PA. However, many of those volunteers paid their own bus fare. It is great that the campaign is now picking up the tab, at least in some places.

I stole this photo from another DUer.
