I was never able to go to college -- although I wanted too. It was something that was never an option for my family -- never talked about. My son is 1st generation in college.

I DID work hard, and my son is going to graduate this year with a 3.6 GPA in a very hard Chemistry program. Obama honors that work in spades.

I am am bawling.

61. I am so excited! I was in high school when Kennedy ran and was elected.
And I am so thankful that I am able to have lived to watch this incredible man run for President. What I just saw sent chills through me. The hope I now have for my grandchildren is once again kindled. Obama is as real a person as there could ever be. He has a real feel for this country and what goes on. There is nothing fake about him. I am just so thrilled.

My kids watched it with me and I just kept thinking about them. My son is 12, my daughter almost 17--this election is for them.
