McCain responds to Obama's half hour

Obama's long ad wasn't particularly newsy to the junkies, but it was smoothly produced and cut live without a hiccup, making Obama's case to an enormous audience.

It was, I thought, a dramatic gesture executed in a very safe fashion.

Responds McCain spokesman Tucker Bounds: "As anyone who has bought anything from an infomercial knows, the sales-job is always better than the product. Buyer beware."
