Cheney retracts his statement about Kerry and a terrorist attack

Earlier in the day, Cheney said that if Kerry is elected, there will be a vast terrorist attack in the US. Just reported on Obermann, Cheney's office flip flopped and said that he meant to say that such applies to whether either candidate is elected.

Another flip flop. The Repubs should keep Cheney out on the stump. He can't help himself--his true character shines through.

Can't find the statement at the moment...but it exists.

Pre 9/11, Paul Bremer was quoted saying that the administration was ignoring terrorist threats and that he had no idea what the administration was thinking in terms of preparedness.

Someone should stand up with that quote in a press conference and ask Cheney how his latest comment re Kerry/terrorist attacks squares with Bremer's comment, with the fact that he didn't meet with his terrorism task force, and Clarke's statement about how the administration didn't pursue terrorism as a top priority.

What journalist will do this?
