Here in North Carolina, over HALF as many people who voted for Prez in 2004 have ALREADY voted!!! |
|
Edited on Thu Oct-30-08 02:50 PM by Brotherjohn
Estimates are put at ~1.8 million so far, possibly exceeding 2 million by the end of Saturday (voting hours just extended). Accdg. to Wikipedia, 3.5 million voted in 2004.
Woohoo!!!

3. I don't think those are estimates. |
|
Those are hard numbers. I was pushing for 2M by Saturday, and with 120-140,000/day of late, we will crush that number :woohoo:

5. I was groovin' on that |
|
on an NPR report while I was doing errands (taking the recycles out) at lunch. Dems are still out-voting R's almost 2:1. We'll see what election day brings. So far, the trend is very, very blue!

8. Well, not that it's not GREAT, but they'd understandably be longer... |
|
... because there are only a few polling places as opposed to one every precinct.
But I'd bet there are longer lines for EARLY voting than ever before!

10. This is great news... |
|
The more early voters we have the better. We need the shortest lines as we can possibly get in urban areas of the state on election day.

11. I never thought about it that way! Makes voting easier for those who DO vote early. But also... |

... makes voting easier for those who DON'T!

Think Obama's gonna win it?

13. Can't say for sure, but there's a lot of energy! LONG lines and a lot of Obama buttons in line. |
|
I live in Dem-leaning Wake County, though. Either way, it's a far cry from my old home, the FL panhandle!
Just call it a hunch, but I'm guessing Obama wins NC.
