Halloween Political Pumpkins
Here's mine - I just finished up a little while ago.

I'm proud of this baby although I think I could have done better with the shading/skin removal. It was a bitch but worth it I think. I used the Obey poster as a template and brought it into Photoshop to tweak it for a pumpkin.

2. That's fabulous.
I hope you put petroleum jelly on the raw surfaces to make it last a little longer. I think that's what people use, anyway.

4. Petroleum jelly?
With a candle?

That sounds so dangerous!

6. It preserves the cut surfaces and keeps them from shriveling and curling.
But it would probably be a good idea to use a small battery-operated light inside the pumpkin, rather than an open flame candle. :)

7. That's good to know for next year.
And yes, I'd definitely go with the battery operated light. ;)

Probably too late but I posted all 3 of the pumpkins I carved last night in the contest thread this morning. Thanks for the heads up! That'll teach me to pay attention to my surroundings more closely. :)
